Course: «Business Ethics: the new role of corporate lawyers». McGeorge School of Law (University of the Pacific).

The Foundation has conveyed a course within the framework of the summer courses this prestigious university organizes every year in Salzburg, Austria.

This course addresses the new role of corporate lawyers, socially responsible according to modern theories of legal ethics and the UN recommendations. The course revises the opportunities and challenges for corporate lawyers, both in-house attorneys and those in law firms, in a globalized world. Finally, it reports good practices for lawyers in order to respond to negative impacts caused by human rights violations of multinational companies, and preventive good practices to avoid them. The course examines the legal, ethical, policy, soft law and jurisprudential issues associated with these matters.
