One of the goals of the Fernando Pombo Foundation is to promote a committed legal profession against global injustices, such as poverty. Through its projects, the Fernando Pombo Foundation tries to find solutions, by means of law, to social issues that affect the most vulnerable groups of people.
On March 11th , the Forum “Law and poverty” took place, convened by all Jesuits law schools in Spain, namely the Faculties of Law of the Comillas Pontifical University of Madrid, Deusto University, Ramón Llull University and Loyola University of Andalusia. This forum looked for a multidisciplinary legal approach to the challenges that the Law confronts with regards to poverty situations that are increasingly emerging in the Spanish society.
The Fernando Pombo Foundation was a sponsor to this event and also contributed in the table with title: “Poverty and the welfare state: public policies and services”.
The Congress aimed to be a channel and a space for sharing research projects coming from different disciplines and research groups and providing always a legal analysis.
