The Fernando Pombo Foundation participated at the 3rd Seminar Univeridad Complutense de Madrid (UCM)-DESAFIO which focused on the analysis of “Tax responsibility for cross-border investment and gifts with social value”.
The general manager of the Fernando Pombo Foundation, Carmen Pombo, was a speaker in the round table that dealt with “Community and International issues” and referred to “responsible taxation, poverty and the legal profession”.
The UCM-DESAFIO seminar was framed in a research project on “Taxation measures to promote socially responsible foreign investment: legal approach and impact on institutions and accountancy in developing economies”. The proposed research pays attention to current social situations and tries to find solutions where the investment and development policies may face problems, from a fiscal point of view, taking into consideration the impact on the public expenditure.
