The Fernando Pombo Foundation will take part in the National Training Congress on Legal Science, to be held this year on September 12 at the University of Valencia. The Foundation will participate in Panel XI, “Legal training and public interest: the role of academics, jurists and lawyers”, in the Salón de Grados of the Law Faculty.
This panel will be moderated by the director of the University of Valencia’s Legal Clinic for Social Justice, Pilar Bonet Sánchez, and will be consist of an initial lecture by Atanas Politov, the European Director of the Global Network for Public Interest Law (PILNET), which will give way to a round table with the participation of Ana Rabanal, the Coordinator of the Madrid Bar Association’s Center for Social Responsibility, Montana Benavides, the Director of the Aranzadi Lex Nova Foundation, Olga Viladrell Mir, the Valencia Bar Association’s Training Director, and Carmen Pombo, the director of the Fernando Pombo Foundation.
The objective of this edition of the Congress is to reflect on the process of transformation of law and the study of law given the currently changing conditions across all economic, social and political levels and even in the regulatory framework: what has happened, what is happening and what we want to happen with legal and political studies in the future, when legal practitioners will face a world greatly affected by new technologies.
